As a tribute to Ned Dohney’s immense popularity and dedicated following in Japan, the Numero Group is issuing two of our absolute Ned favorites on a single 45 with a stylized pic sleeve honoring the Recording Industry of the Rising Sun. The A-side features the Hard Candy album opener “Get It Up For Love,” with it's balmy sheets of synthesizer and acoustic guitar phrasings courtesy of our beloved Malibu wunderkind. The B-side features the previously unreleased demo version backed by Average White Band of “What Cha’ Gonna Do For Me,” made famous in by Chicago’s own Chaka Khan, whose 1981 album by the same name earned Doheny his first and only gold record.
