The crown jewel of the Twinight Lunar Rotation is the once rumored to exist TWI 140 by Velma Perkins. Twinight was naturally inclined to oblige when Velma’s brother Al Perkins, a producer, promoter, performer, and most importantly, a powerful Detroit disc jockey at WJLB, asked for a favor. “Yes, My Goodness Yes” and “I’ll Always Love You” both make their world debut here, since the few 45s pressed were given to Al Perkins, who let it slip through the cracks. He managed to get one in the hands of the MGM-owned Lion imprint, yielding a huge hit with “Can I” under her married name Vee Allen.
