The Apostles Of Music

The Apostles of Music were led by Curtis Brown and based in Detroit’s far south side. Geographically close to Ecorse, Felton Williams, and Revival, the group was aesthetically closer to Wendell Harrison and Phil Ranelin’s downtown Tribe Records. On "Wade in the Water" and “Look Where He Brought Us From,” the Apostles demonstrate strong ties to the worlds of jazz and soul. Sadly, no historical record of the group remains other than their scant output.
