Little Ed & the Soundmasters

In the late 60s, Johnny Dollar and Charles Fisher recruited Little Ed, their seven-year-old brother and a drumming prodigy, to form the Soundmasters Band. Like Willie Williams, Little Ed sang and played drums at the same time, sometimes letting the piano player take over so he could do his best James Brown impression front and center. Few got to witness that spectacle, as the band never caught on outside of Chicago, but "It's A Dream" is pre-teen led psychedelic blues, certainly this collection's most singular moment.
