Edd Henry

Ed McCoy's position afforded him the opportunity to interact with Detroit's burgeoning music business and subsequently brought a young singer named Edd Henry to his attention. McCoy wasted no time in making Henry the first artist on Detroit's latest upstart. McCoy rented out the legendary United Sound studio and cut "Crooked Woman" and "Your Replacement Is Here" with a lavish ten-piece band. The songs and performances were dynamic, showcasing Henry's bluesy croon over spit-shine brass arrangements.
