Andrea Williams

The latter half of 1972 at the Tragar label was spent issuing a few already extant Eula Cooper recordings and a few other oddities. The enigmatic Andrea Williams single defies explanation, as it appears to be a man redoing two Tragar sides, “Love Makes Me Do Foolish Things” and “Now That I’m Wise,” though renamed as “Now That I’ve Gotten Wise.” Who he is, and why the record is credited to Andrea Williams, an apparent “she,” is unclear to everyone involved.
